In completing a project focused on a federal government client for the 30th largest bank in the U.S., Doug directed the creation of a metrics reporting function for use by regulatory auditors utilizing Power BI and Snowflake. Additionally, with Power Query and PowerPoint, he facilitated the process to automate regulatory compliance and created a Business Intelligence dashboard for finding data and developing insights and deploying analytics. He also trained personnel on use of the dashboard’s features.

For a leading total solution logistics company, Doug created reports on supply chain-oriented metrics functions for electric automobile manufacturers. He led a Proof-of-Concept session with account management and data engineering regarding the design of a carrier tracking compliance and accessorial reduction, using Power BI visualizations. His produced reports utilized SQL and Power BI Golden Dataset concepts.

For the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Doug led creation efforts for an upper-level report visualization, utilizing Power BI, Dax and M languages. He successfully reduced the development time by 50% through the design and implementation of curated Golden Data Sets. He produced successive public-facing State Government Workforce Statistics reports. Doug also oversaw reporting of state-wide turnover and organizational transfer metrics, with insights for senior leadership in their decision process. He utilized ETL (Extract-Transform-Load) and Power Query to gather and curate large datasets for digital report visualizations.

For a Canadian IT management and business process services company, Doug served as a business and technical analyst in support of Top 5 Pharmaceutical Finance Reporting and SDLC (Software Development Lifecycle) initiatives. He worked with international developer colleagues in China and India. Doug achieved a 70% reduction on the number of reports by designing and revamping business processes for legacy financial reporting. He created deep-dive analyses using Power BI and Spotfire for non-Pharma clients and used SQL and XML for multiple report migration functionality to Oracle DBMS.

He earned recognition from management and his peers for creating useful and applicable information that was utilized successfully by multiple teams. Functionality was key to identifying significant trends in pricing and sales activity through production of ‘high value’ business analysis produced by Doug, utilizing Access and Power BI on Big Data sets. He also successfully achieved a 50% decrease in data mining times through the planning and creation of a centralized, scalable data repository.

Doug managed a team of 3 associates, ensuring data stewardship of Vendor Product Numbers (VPN) for use across the supply chain that included ordering, invoicing, and shipping. He also led high level and cross-functional data governance impact teams and was appointed New Business Integration Liaison. He utilized SharePoint and InfoPath workflow capabilities to correctly code and build new product releases.

As Supply Chain Analyst, Third Party Logistics (3PL), Doug managed technical and operational relationships among multiple 3PL distribution centers. He was responsible for over $50M in inventory, saving $2.2M in inventory purchasing through the development of new processes. He also achieved $30K per year in credit savings through a new Receiving Activity Audit and recognized $15K in savings via reverse logistics from a new cost reduction procedure.
